I/b Kapitan Dranitsyn

Kapitan Dranitsyn is a Russian icebreaker designed for working in harsh conditions of the Arctic region and the Baltic Sea. Built in March 1980 at shipyard Wartsila, Finland, she was upgraded in Norway in 1999.

Being modified as a passenger ship Kapitan Dranitsyn offers comfortable accommodation for up to 100 passengers. The ship has a helicopter, fully enclosed lifeboats and a small hospital on board. She carries a fleet of Zodiacs allowing passengers to get closer to Arctic wildlife and glaciers.
