CHAD BURTT - Expedition Guide

Chad’s fascination with Polar exploration began when introduced to the beauty of Antarctica and its surrounding islands on a 1999 filming expedition documenting Shackleton’s 1914-15 survival epic.

His deep appreciation of the natural world was a byproduct of having spent extended camping trips in the African wilderness with his naturalist father whilst growing up in Southern Africa.

Chad’s experience on expeditions to Queen Maude Land for the building of a remote camp and then on to the Weddell Sea to find the wreck of Shackleton’s Endurance, has continued to broaden his fascination with the polar regions and the last of the world’s truly wild frontiers.
